About
All About Me, Myself and I
Greetings, Salutations, and overall "Hello" and "Welcome to my website"!
My name is Kevin, I'm a Maryland-based, late-30s aged web developer and this is my space (that's not MySpace) where I collect and show all the Kevin Things I do navigating through life.
What are Kevin things?Well in this context it's a collection of work, thoughts, experiements and and miscellaneous fun things that I develop and have developed over the course of my many years as a developer both in hobby and in career, but also a place where I like to share some other hobbies and happenings.
I probably check off all the boxes of interests you might expect from someone with a timeline such as mine. I'm a heavy gamer, I big manga reader, becoming more of a book-reader in general and I enjoy anime and movies as much as the next "geek" on the Internet. I also enjoy traveling and planning trips, as illustrated by my documented adventures to Japan!
If it piques my interest, I'll find some way to talk about it, and in turn I hope your intrest will be piqued too!
Why are Kevin things? The Internet really used to be this cool and magical place where you could discover stuff on your own and people really used to really put a lot of imagination into websites, however simple they may have been. It was a fun-free for all but nowadays it feels like everything has been homogenized to the save five or six sites (or platforms really) while the ALGORITHIMS tailor everything to the last thing you clicked on front and center.
I wanted to create this stand-alone site of mine to re-capture that same uniqueness that I believe we defintiely lost in this "mobile-first" era of design, and make this a place you'll want to keep coming back to, preferably sitting in a chair, looking at this through an actual computer monitor. The good ol' days.
Where are Kevin things?Head to the Showcase to check out all of the things I've created during my journey as a developer from concept websites to games to visual arts and even some miscellaneous blogs where I document my travel adventures!
The Journal is gonna be my personal blog of all the hip-happenings of my life, and the Contact page, you guessed it, has various means of getting in touch with if you got anything you'd like to say.
How are Kevin things?Doing well, and doing everything to navigate and make my marks on this ever changing world and adventure. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a great time here!
